Step by step Setting Up & using your MetaMask Wallet (send, receive, main nets, security & uni swap)

Wallets - Coinbase (website) is centralized; metamask (extension) is decentralized

Metamask

• Go to metamask website

• Click download as for extension

• After downloading the extension click the metamask extension 

• Get started

• Create a wallet

• Choose, NO or I agree to

• Create password

Adding New Network in MetaMask

To avoid scam

*seed phrase. Recovery phrase needs to keep, write it down, keep it safe that is not recorded digitally

*everything that you connect you Wallet, your MetaMask make sure that website is legit (to avoid scam); 

*lock your metamask every time your done using it

*create multiple accounts

Swaping - swap is simply saying that you wanted to move to 1 currency to another

• You can also swap directly to metamask

• While using uniswap it has minimal fees

Uniswap - is another decentralized platform and you can link your wallet

Whatever fee that you are paying in uni swap it won’t be deducted in the amount that you are swapping  but it’s going to be deducted in the ETH that you have inside your wallet. (you need to always have excess ETH in your wallet, and some liquid ETH for you to be able to make those transactions)
